Colourful map of Denmark, which then still possessed Schleswig and Holstein. The striking large cartouche includes elaborate coat of arms.

A rare miniature map of Denmark engraved by Lamberti for the 'Minchiate', the Florentine version of the Tarot, which had each card marked with an arcane symbol. The full set was published in Augusto Da Rabatta and Jean Baptiste De Baillou's pocket atlas 'Nuovo Atlante Generale'. Information on the map is minimal, but an extensive key gives the names of the various regions.

Fairburn's Plan of Parker and Nelson's Victory before Copenhagen, April 2.d 1801. London: Fairburn, April 22nd, 1801. Broadsheet plan. Original colour. Engraving, 340 x 450mm, set in letterpress, sheet size 565 x 480mm. A few repairs.
A broadsheet published only twenty days after the naval battle regarded as Nelson's hardest-fought battle. The engraving is divided between an antique chart of the 'Passage of the Sound to Copenhagen & Drago' and a view of Nelson's attack on the Danish fleet. The text contains a key to the view, listing the ships, the despatches from Parker and Nelson (neither mentioning Nelson disobeying Parker's order to withdraw) and a list of casualties.
