An uncommon small version of Seutter's map of the Holy Land, published in the 'Atlas Minor'. The cartouche top left, shows Moses being discovered in the River Nile by Pharaoh's daughter. In the lower right corner there is a map of the Exodus.

Rare 1781 edition of Jaillot's map of the Holy Land, engraved by Cordier and originally published with decorative cartouches for the title and scale. The Jaillot family sold up their business in 1781: Desnos bought much of their stock, reissuing this plate with only yhe date changed. It shows the Holy Land after Sanson, divided into the Twelve Tribes with decorative cartouches for the title and scales. LAOR: 368, this state not listed.
