A county map of Lincolnshire published the year Charles I reignited the Civil War by negotiating an invasion of England by the Scots. It is decorated with a pillar of armorials of the local nobles (including John of Gaunt), two Royal crests and a title cartouche with two putti holding a pair of compasses and a rule. KOEMAN: Bl 44.

A county map of Nottinghamshire, published the year Charles I reignited the Civil War by negotiating an invasion of England by the Scots. It is decorated with two large Royal arms, two banks of the arms of local nobles, a harvest-themed title cartouche and a scale cartouche with two putti, one with a pair of compasses. KOEMAN: Bl 44.

Decorative map of Cheshire, published in Blaeu's 'Atlas Major', with pictorial cartouches for the title and scale and a banderole of coats of arms. Pasted on the reverse is the bookplate of the Duke of York, bearing the motto of the Chivalric English Order of the Garter, 'Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense' and the initials D.Y., with 'Vol. 51, No. 80.' added underneath. The map was apparently bound into a large composite atlas, as noted by the volume number, probably by Prince Edward, Duke of York and Albany (1739-67, younger brother of George III), from maps already in his family's collection.
