A prospect of Milan showing the defensive walls, with extensive keys and a descriptive text, both in Italian and German, and a decorative frame-like border. The view was drawn by Werner, but the allegorical figures int he foreground were by Thomas Scheffler. The plate was etched by Philip Andreas Kilian.

A highly-decorative map of Liguria and ' Repubblica Marinara di Genova', with a title cartouche featuring the Roman gods, putti representing the Arts and a ship representing maritime trade. Underneath is a prospect of Genova with a 25-point key, a silk-making scene and an allegorical figure of the city holding a cornucopia.

The decorative title cartouche in the bottom right hand corner with a portrait medallion, possibly of Charlemagne who ruled Lombardy from Pavia in the 8th century, and flanked by a river god and a minotaur both holding amphorae from which flow the waters of the rivers Po and Ticino. Fine example of this scarce 1770 delux edition map of the Duchies of Venice and Mantua. This edition includes a highly decorative architectural border frame showing cherubs, globes and garlands, this border has been refined and embellished by Aveline following the first appearance in the 1766 deluxe edition of the map. The map has French text in two columns, left and right of the map.
