A large and detailed antique chart of the South American coastline from Morro de Santa Marta, just inside Brazil, through Uruguay to the Rio de la Plata, to Buenos Aires in Argentina. Three insets give details of Montevideo, Maldonado & Buenos Aires. The lighthouses are marked in colour.

A detailed sea chart of the Rio la la Plata, separating Uruguay from Argentina, marking Buenos Aires and Montevideo. Lighthouses are marked in colour. At the time of publication the Paraguayan War (1864-70) was being fought between an alliance of Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay, and Paraguay, a power-struggle for control of the Rio de la Plata basin.

A detailed "blue-back" sea chart of the Brazilian coastline between Cabo Frío and Céara, with wind roses, rhumb lines and soundings to aid navigation and insets of Bahia, Rio, Pernambuco and Maranhão. The title in the centre written in decorative gothic script with flourishes and curliques.
