An etched plan of pre-Fire London, with an extensive key and ten crests of City Companies including the 'East India Merchants', 'Turkey Merchants' and 'Royall Company of Adventurers' (... Trading to Africa', from 1672 the Royal African Company The dedication is to Sir Robert Vyner, a city alderman elected 1666: however as there is no mention of his being Sheriff (June 1666 - June 1667), this state of the map seems to date after this office ended. The most common issue of the map is in Blome's 'Britannia', 1673. HOWGEGO: 15, 2nd state of 4.
