A scarce 'vue d'optique' of the quayside of Quebec, with an engraved text in both German and French which mentions the capture of the city by the British in 1759.
A 'vue d'optique' is a print designed to be viewed through a 'zograscope', an optical device that used lenses and mirrors to give perspective. As the device reversed the image the title 'Vue de Quebeck' is engraved in reverse above the scene.
