An uncommon small version of Seutter's map of North America, engraved by Lotter for Seutter's 'Atlas Minor'. The continent is compacted laterally, and California is depicted as an Island. The decorative title cartouche features native Americans and birds.
This example was published after Lotter took over his father-in-law's business in 1762.
