A map of the Persian Gulf from Basra on the Tigris to the Strait of Hormuz. The Persian coast is well mapped and, inland, the ruined city of Persepolis is marked. The Arabian coast is laid out in considerably less detail; the Qatar peninsular is absent although there is an appearance of 'Gattar'; Bahrain is shown, called 'Is. Bahhrein', but misattributed; and there is a large bank noted for pearl diving. The map was published for Delisle de Sales' Histoire des Homes. Partie de l'Histoire Moderne
