A splendid map of Iberia in fine original colour, showing topography, settlements and regional divisions. With a decorative title cartouche surmounted by the Spanish Royal Arms, and flanked by a personification of peace and disporting putti and mermaids.
Justus Danckerts is one of the lesser known publishers active in Amsterdam in the last decade of the 18th century. His atlases are appreciably scarcer than those of his leading rivals, the Visschers and De Wit.
