A miniature map of the Dithmarschen region, with north orientated to the left. A second title appears outside the neatline.
The map was published in 'Il theatro del mondo', an Italian pirate edition of the Ortelius 'Epitome' miniature atlas. First published in 1598, the publication was revived in 1655, forty years after the last edition of the Dutch original.
