The Leeward Society Islands, with Huahine, Raiatea, Tahaa, Bora Bora, Tupai, Maupiti, Motu One, Manuae and Maupihaa. Published in the scarce atlas, the 'Nuovo Atlante Geografico Universale', this is one of the most decorative maps of the group. Taken from the accounts of Captain Cook, it has an illustrated title cartouche and an inset of Christmas Island.
