A decorative and colourful map of France, regions are depicted as typical for this period in outline and wash colours. With many engraved place names, rivers, mountains. In the upper right corner a description of 'Du royaume de France' with statistical information regarding population, the French military and the religious affiliations. In the lower left corner a large allegorical title cartouche.
