A lithographic production of an extremely rare survey of Liverpool, orientated with north to the right, recording the owners of the land around the town during a period of swift expansion. The Leeds and Liverpool Canal is marked during its construction.
Charles Eyes (c.1754-1803) was Town Surveyor from 1781.
