Arthur Palmer (1913-82) was born in Chicago but moved to California where he studied with Frank T. Chamberlin at the Chouinard Art School in Los Angeles. During the 1940s he was an animator for Disney Studios. He later had a studio in San Francisco and taught at the California College of Arts and Crafts and the Palo Alto Art Club.
