HOMANN, Johann Baptist.

Planiglobii Terrestris Cum utroq. Hemisphaerio Caelesti Generalis...
Nuremberg, c.1720. Original colour with additions. 500 x 570mm.

A very fine example

A very decorative double-hemisphere world map with two smaller celestial spheres in the cusps, as well as wind-heads and depictions of natural phenomena such as water-spouts, eruptions and rainbows.
