A very important map of the Philippines, being the first map to show the Philippines on their own. Despite its small size it shows the islands in greater detail than contemporary folio-sized maps of the East Indies. Engraved by Pieter van den Keere, it was first published in the 'Caert-Thresoor' by Langenes in 1598; this examples comes from the 'Tabulæ Geographicæ contractæ' by Petrus Bertius.
