A map of the south-east quarter of England, showing south of Oakham in Rutland and east of Salisbury in Wiltshire. It was engraved for Gerard Mercator, famed for 'Mercator's Projection' (the rectangular map of the world), with the title in a superb strapwork title cartouche.
