A map of the Eastern Hemisphere, with an unusual outline for Australia and 'Jedso' as a large adjunct to northern Japan. Although Iceland is showm, the British Isles are absent. Among the cities marked are Benin, Cairo, Jerusalem, Kabul, Lahore, Agra, Malacca, Peking and Kyoto. Underneath are two more spherical diagrams.
From the 'Atlas Novus' by Heinrich Scherer, a Jesuit mathematician and geographer.
