An uncommon miniature map of Japan, also showing Korea as an island. It was engraved by Pieter van den Keere for the 1626 edition of Mercator's 'Atlas Minor'.
This example comes from the 1630 French edition; by 1631 a crack had appeared in the right edge of the plate,
