A very decorative double-hemisphere map of the world, updated to 1782, two years after the return of ships of James Cook's Third Voyage, on which he was killed on Hawaii. The routes of all three voyages are shown, with Hawaii marked as 'O-why-hee where Cap. Cook was kill'd', and the Bering Strait has been corrected. Around the map is a rococo border featuring globes and an armillary sphere. From 'Millar's New and Universal System of Geography'.
