A map of the Eastern Mediterranean illustrating the voyage of Aeneas after the Fall of Troy, published in John Ogilby's edition of Virgil's 'Aeneid'.

This map is an early collaboration by two famous names of cartography: Hollar, the famous Bohemian etcher, and Ogilby, the creator of the world's first printed road atlas, the 'Britannia', nearly quarter of a century later. Hollar contributed the frontispiece to the 'Britannia', now a sought-after decorative item. Scarce.
