An example of the last London tube map designed by Stingemore, published the year before the introduction of the famous Beck diagram.
On the Piccadilly Line 'Down Street' has been closed but 'Brompton Road' is still shown and Green Park is still 'Dover Street'. 'British Museum', on the Central Line, is shown for the last time. 'Gillespie Road' was renamed 'Arsenal' on Beck's new map.
Printed by the David Allen Printing Co., the cover has lists of Places of Interest and Theatres, with the nearest underground stations.
