A highly decorative map of the Cyclades Islands in the central Aegean, with an elaborate engraved title cartouches and vignette sea-battles between galleons and galleys representing the struggle between the Europeans and the Ottomans.
Johan Lauremberg (1590-1658) was a German mathmatician, cartographer and poet. He drew eight maps of Greek regions for Jansson.
