A map of Italy after Mercator, first published in ''Europae, totius orbis terrarum partis praestantissimae universalis et particularis descriptio'' in 1592. It is decorated with a strapwork title cartouche, a compass on the dcale, a ship and a sea monster by the northern coast of Sicily.
