Some restoration, laid on lionen.

A map of England and Wales engraved as the index map of John Ogilby's 'Britannia', the first European road atlas, containing a hundred maps of particular roads across the country, displayed as tromp l'oeil strips. A large cartouche contains both the title and a list of the roads. The arms of Charles II appear reflecting Ogilby's appointment as His Majesty's Cosmographer in 1671,
