Châtelain's edition of Delisle's landmark map of Canada, first issued in 1703. It extends north from Illinois and Maryland, through New England and the Great Lakes, into Canada up to Baffin Bay and Greenland. Labrador is said to be home to the 'Eskimaux'. A box of descriptive text is located in the top left corner. From volume six of Châtelain's monumental 'Atlas Historique'.
