A circular map of the routes of London's commuter railways, extending out to Wraysbury in the west, clockwise to Berkhampstead, St Albans, Ware, Harlow, Ongar, Brentwood, Tilbury Docks. Sevenoaks. Redhill, Dorking and Woking.
Charles Edward Goad (1848-1910) specialised in maps for fire insurance companies, noting size of buildings, width of streets and proximity to water sources for fire brigades. He was based in Montreal and Quebec until 1885, when he started work in England. The company named after him continued until 1931 when it was acquired by Underwriter's Survey Limited.
