A rare set of three globe gores centred on California as an island
VALK, Gerard.
[Three gore sheets from a 15" Dutch table globe.]
Amsterdam, 1707. Three sheets, each 230 x (at most) 65mm, trimmed ready for use.
Trimmed ready for use.
Three sequential sheets (of probably 24 plus two calottes) of a terrestrial globe of about 15" diameter, together showing western and centra North America from the Equator to just above the Arctic Circle.
