Munster's modern map of Europe from the 'Geographia', with south oriented at the top of the map and a large sailing ship in the Bay of Biscay.

The continent is depicted from Iberia in the west to 'Constantinopel' (Istanbul) in the east, and from Denmark and Scotland in the north to the Pillars of Hercules in the south.
