An anti-British propaganda map, produced by the Japanese for their Taiwanese subjects. It shows the world on Mercator's Projection with Britain as an octopus 'pickpocket', stretching its tentacles across land and sea, with the dates it took control over the various colonies, which are colour-coded for which century they were taken in.
The rough translation of the publication it appeared in in the 'Daily Progress Newspaper'.
