The Eastern Mediterranean, with Cyprus, the Holy Land, the Red Sea and Babylon, orientated with north to the left, as drawn by Pietro Vesconte (fl. 1310-30) for Marino Sanudo's 'Liber Secretorum Fidelibus de Crucis' c.1320. This manuscript work was presented to Pope Clement V to encourage a new crusade.

This engraving was the first time that the original map was published, retaining the original's lack of a conventional single reading view.
