A large and detailed view of Edinburgh drawn by Brewer and engraved by T. Griffiths, published as a supplement to the Graphic newspaper. Underneath the image are Robert Burns' poem 'Address to Edinburgh' and an extensive key with an outline image.
Leith is on the left, with Calton Hill, Arthur's Seat and Blackwell Hill in the distance. The sheer cliffs of the Castle Rock are clearly shown right centre and, in the foreground, the magnificent Charlotte Square, designed by Robert Adam in 1791, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
