A map of the Arctic Circle, but showing south to the British Isles and New York, with features including the mythical Frisland and Frobisher's Strait. Vignettes include hunting polar bears from sledges drawn by reindeer and a Lap market. From 'Geographia Naturalis' by Heinrich Scherer, a Jesuit mathematician and geographer. A very fine impression.
