A finely-engraved plan of Rome, with extensive keys of buildings. The decorative vignette is divided between Classical and Renaissance themes.
Paul-Marie Letarouilly (1795-1855) first visited Rome in 1820. His 'Édifices de Rome moderne', filled with his drawings and published in five volumes between 1825-82, is important for reviving interest in the architectural splendour of Renaissance Rome.
