A map of Scotland divided into the counties, from an uncommon smaller-format atlas by Laurie and Whittle.
The map was engraved by Edward Jones (fl 1799-1818) and Benjamin Smith jnr (1775-1817). Smith was later executed for forging Margate Bank notes, despite claiming he had been forced to do so by French privateers who had captured him in 1810 and held him in prison for four years.
