'General overview of the flags flying aboard the war and merchant ships of all nations at the time of June 1, 1820'. A plate showing 110 flags, with a key to the names down the left and right sides, published in 'Nuovo atlante di geografia universale'.
Of interest are the flags of: the United States of the Ionian Islands, with the British Union flag and the Venetian Lion; and the United States of America, with 13 stars in a X formation and a varient with red, white and blue stripes.
