The bottom left sheet of a nine-sheet map of London, with Kensington High Street top left, clockwise to Kensington Place, Rotten Row in Hyde Park, Apsley House, St James's Palace, Buckingham Palace, the new Victoria Station, Battersea Park and Battersea Bridge, Cremone Gardens, Walham Green, Brompton Cemetery and Earl's Court.
Interesting features include: the 'Site of the International Exhibition', held in 1862 on the site of the South Kensington museums; the Grosvenor Canal, just over a decade after the Chelsea Waterworks stopped pumping drinking water from it; and the 'Westminster House of Corrections' on the site of Westminster Cathedral. This is one of the few maps focused on the Chelsea area.
